I was really keen to see The Ten Decks again. The last time they had played The Wilbs they had rocked the place. We were flying to Cyprus the next morning for a family wedding though so I couldn't catch their whole set and only managed a few snatched shots. It was another try out for the Z9, this time with a 24-70 mm f2.8 Nikkor lens via the FTZ II adapter. Even though I had photographed the band before, I was hopeful of getting some decent shots with a faster lens and shorter focal length. I hadn't thought the shots through and improvised rather, but I am quite pleased with the shots through the window - even with the reflections. In fact none of the shots are perfect, the massive window behind them and the coloured houselights presented exposure challenges, but I like the feel of them and hope I have represented the energy of band with them. Matty added some colour, in more ways than one, with his tambourine.
